产品简介
Rummr is a social network built around a single object: the rumour. A "rummr" is at most 280 characters and may carry an image or a thirty-second clip. The product states its nature without ambiguity in its own FAQ — it is entertainment, not news, and nothing on the platform should be treated as verified information.
The mechanics run on two axes that work independently. The first is the verdict: each user votes Believe or Doubt once, can switch or withdraw that vote, and once enough votes accumulate the crowd's judgement appears — Believed, Contested or Busted. The second is reach: a "spread" pushes the rumour further across a world map, once per user, and sharing off-platform counts towards it too. Out of the spread count grows a badge ladder, from Street Rummr under a thousand to Galaxy Rummr above twenty million.
Around that core sit groups — creating one is a one-time five-euro payment processed by Stripe — a leaderboard, an exploration map, and anonymous posting. The anonymity is carefully drawn: an author's identity is never shown to other users, but it remains stored internally for legal compliance and abuse handling.
状态The platform presents itself explicitly as entertainment rather than a source of information: "nothing on Rummr should be treated as verified information", its own FAQ says.
功能
Believe / Doubt voting with a crowd verdict
One reversible vote per user. Past a vote threshold the rumour is labelled Believed, Contested or Busted.
Spreading across a world map
Each user can spread a rumour once; reach also grows through sharing to external platforms.
A badge ladder tied to reach
From Street Rummr, under a thousand spreads, up to Galaxy Rummr above twenty million.
Groups, on a one-time Stripe payment
Creating a group costs five euros once. The group exists the moment the payment succeeds, and that is explained at checkout together with what it means for the withdrawal right.
Anonymous posting that is not unidentifiable
An author's name is never shown to other users, but the identity stays stored internally for legal compliance and abuse handling.
Moderation on two levels
Authors can delete their own content, group moderators can hide what breaks the rules, and administrators moderate the whole platform. Removed content is hidden, not silently edited.
